In the impressive natural setting of the Limestone Alps, we will actively engage ourselves: We embark on a quest for biodiversity and the colors of nature, and we try our hand at mowing with a scythe. Additionally, we will make our own butter, which will be refined with collected wild herbs into aromatic Limestone Alps herb butter and enjoyed with hearty farmhouse bread. The Schweizersberg, the place where this natural spectacle takes place, offers a magnificent view of the valley between the Sensengebirge in the Limestone Alps National Park and the impressive Warscheneck. Against this backdrop, participants are invited to actively explore nature. In our search for the unique features of nature, we will be encouraged to observe, marvel, and learn about the colorful diversity of plants and animals. The subsequent gathering of wild herbs provides a delicious preview of the upcoming culinary treat. After revealing the secret of how grass turns into milk, we will shake our own butter in a jar, which will be refined with the collected wild herbs into aromatic Limestone Alps herb butter and tasted with homemade wood-fired farmhouse bread. Mowing with a scythe is an almost forgotten art that anyone who wishes can try. By the way, the village is home to the only scythe factory in Upper Austria, where scythes have been produced for over 500 years. The view of "a mowed mountain meadow" and the freshly shaken herb butter will remain a cherished memory for all of us!
