Steffi Geißel was a long-time participant in the Teltow Youth Art School and attended the painting course by Frauke Schmidt-Theilig. For her, painting is both a reward and a challenge. She is impressed by colors, shapes, and compositions. Often, Steffi Geißel wants to draw attention to individual details, moments, and small peculiarities, or capture the feeling of a situation or moment. The message behind her paintings is important to her, as well as the emotions they evoke. It is also quite possible that a study she creates of an already existing work finds its way into her collection, for example, a tribute to Picasso or Heyerdahl.
