Cornelia Schleime is a German painter, filmmaker, and author. Now highly decorated—with the Federal Cross of Merit and the honorary award from the Prime Minister of Brandenburg for her life's work—she is not only a great painter with exhibitions from Moscow to Germany to London, but also an artist-philosopher with a refreshingly revealing perspective on the things between life and politics. In 1979, she founded the band "Zwitschermaschine," becoming the first East German punk singer. And—just imagine!—Cornelia Schleime is an official part-time resident of Temnitz, with a studio in Kerzlin. Anyone who gets to know her is simply captivated by her. This is also true for Christhard Läpple, who is moderating the evening for us.
