Turning Point, Reunification, Frankfurt (Oder) in the 1990s. Behind the gray concrete slabs of the P2 apartments, families are torn apart, as parents struggle to cope with the chaos of the post-reunification years while children grow into an uncertain, unified German future. Disorientation, self-discovery, identity search. In the mirror: a shaved head, at the coat rack: bomber jacket and combat boots – and in the next room sits the tick. It is tolerated. After all, they are brothers, right?!

Along an autofictional family story, the Citizen Stage examines this violent time and traces the threads of the post-reunification period into the present.
