The tour around the transmitter building begins at the lying transmitter mast of the Britz transmitter. Passing by the geodetic radio globe, visitors take a look at the construction site of the new entrance area, get to know a giant antenna mushroom, and learn why there is an antenna spire on the transmission hall. After passing the transmitter vehicle from welle370, the tour continues to the cooling tower and the former tube storage. Following the tour around transmitter building 1, visitors enter the diesel hall. Here, the machinists are waiting to show the audience the unique motor. The VMA266 is a Deutz diesel engine – and the only one of its kind preserved in the world. At a speed of 250 revolutions per minute, it delivers 1000 horsepower.
