Cooking Course at the Hotel in Brandenburg
Heat up the stove together with our kitchen professionals! In our culinary workshop, which takes place at SeeBadSaarow or in our main kitchen, you will experience an afternoon full of flavor and good cheer. Together, we will create creative dishes and learn tricks and tips from the experts that will make any home dinner a highlight. Amidst cooking, tasting, and hearty laughter, an experience is created that not only delights the palate but also celebrates the joy of cooking together. Nothing brings people together better than experimenting in the kitchen!
• Sunday, May 10, 2026 - Surf & Turf
Experience a culinary day at Lake Scharmützelsee with a full-day wine pairing and many small discoveries. Cooking course highlights:
• Start the day with a guided tour for wild herb gathering
• Knowledge of ingredients and preparation of Scharmützelsee crayfish, morels, Beelitzer asparagus & peas
• Live smoking of a Müritz whitefish
• Making your own ravioli
• Preparation of a 6-course menu under the motto: Surf and Turf of Dry Age and crayfish with Leipzig Allerlei "2026"
At 6 PM, the evening finale will take place with a joint tasting of the previously cooked menu at the Chef's Table in SeeBadSaarow. Throughout the day, Micha Knöfel will provide exciting insights into his wine world and offer tastings and fascinating stories about the matching wines. The 6-course menu will then be harmoniously accompanied by the previously tasted and selected wines.
• Sunday, October 11, 2026 - Harvest Festival: Reimagined Mark Brandenburg Cuisine
Taste and enjoy autumnal diversity in a glass & on the plate. Homemade sausage, Mark Brandenburg venison, preserved field fruits, and fruity jams form the basis of this regional enjoyment day. Beverage tasting:
• Craft beer specialties
• Federweißer from the region
• Noble spirits
Cooking course highlights:
• Knowledge of ingredients & preparation of a whole deer (nose-to-tail)
• Live-baked onion cake
• Three homemade Thuringian sausage specialties based on the traditional family recipe of our chef Thomas
• Combinations of venison: essences, braised, roasted, and preserved with matching fruits and vegetables
• Flambéed crêpes & ice cream from the teppanyaki
At 6 PM, after the work is done, the tasting of the menu will take place at the Chef's Table in our Pechhütte, accompanied by suitable beverages.
