The popular songwriter Gerhard Schöne, saxophonist Ralf Benschu, known for his interludes with Keimzeit, and church music director and organist Jens Goldhardt unite different musical styles to create an exceptionally compelling concert experience. The program they present, "I Open the Door Wide in the Evening," brings the audience well-known, new, and rarely performed songs by Schöne closer, translating his reworked chorales into the present day with urgency, while also allowing space for organ pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach.
