Comedian Harmonists Today - Unreleased!

Everything began at the Berliner Theater am Kurfürstendamm with the world premiere of "Comedian Harmonists (Part 2) - Now or Never," directed by Martin Wölffer. This successful play, which has been running for many years, serves as the foundation for five outstanding singers and their pianist, who will continue to perform together with an expanded repertoire on stages across the country. After a short break, the group has finally reunited with some new members, and thus the beloved story continues. Look forward to "Comedian Harmonists Today - Unpublished!" for an exciting journey back to the time of the "first boy band in the world." But not only will you experience unique musical offerings; the audience will also learn rare information from the Comedian Harmonists archive, generously provided by Mr. Th. Niemeyer, in celebration of the 100th anniversary. The program naturally includes the greatest hits of the Comedian Harmonists such as "Mein kleiner grüner Kaktus," "Veronika, der Lenz ist da," and "Irgendwo auf der Welt." You will also hear unusual pieces like "Die Nacht ist nicht allein zum Schlafen da" and "O sole mio," as well as unpublished rarities, including a Kollo-Potpourri and "Das Wolgalied" from the original scores by Robert Biberti. The ensemble revives the legendary sound of the original "Comedian Harmonists" and excels in the charming, winking humor of the wild "Golden Twenties."
