Hypnotically grinning guitar riffs intertwine with energetically driving krautrock beats, complemented by permanently distorted bass lines. This controlled wildfire is dominated by the alternating, sometimes two-part vocal lines of Katharina and Gernot – the perfect mix for joining in and losing oneself. Love and revolt, along with the well-known human abysses, modern life, and the autobiographical... these are all themes found in the mostly metaphorically written lyrics of The Maze Cab. In a sense, they reflect their music: the boundaries of conventional genres are fluid. The Maze Cab continues to create their own world.
