Drone-supported wildlife protection

In this first part of the event series "Wildlife Protection in Green and Open Land - Drone-Supported Methods," we will meet at the House of Nature to hear and share perspectives and experiences from various stakeholders in wildlife protection. The aim of the event series is, on one hand, to network and exchange experiences among different actors, and on the other hand, to convey species knowledge, technical know-how, and legal frameworks. Participants include NABU Brandenburg as the organizer, the association "Wiesenweihen- und Naturschutz Nordostdeutschland e.V.," "Rehkitzrettung Brandenburg e.V.," the State Bird Protection Station, and an expert in drone technology for environmental protection from the company "Thermal Drones." The first date is set, with more to follow! At this initial meeting, there will be presentations from the various stakeholders, providing insights into the work of the associations. Additionally, we will hear talks on legal frameworks as well as technical developments and possibilities. Ultimately, opportunities for cooperation and communication channels will be established. This event will take place in a hybrid format. The subsequent dates will involve excursions or action days in the field in spring 2026. These dates will be announced later.
