Pentecost in the Ore Mountains On May 24, 2026, we will embark on an unforgettable journey to the Ore Mountains with our traditional train Niederlausitz. We will start with a ride on a historic diesel locomotive to Dresden. The next leg of the journey will take us over the impressive Tharandter Ramp with a historic steam locomotive. Your trip will lead you through Wolkenstein, with a simple transfer to the historic rail replacement service to Steinbach for the Preßnitztalbahn. From there, we will continue to Cranzahl near Annaberg-Buchholz, the station for the connection to the Fichtelbergbahn. During the railway festival at Pentecost, visitors will experience the Preßnitztalbahn with many steam trains. Look forward to steam trains in full operation, explore the model railway exhibition, and enjoy a varied program centered around the railway. Alternatively, you can also discover the mountain town of Annaberg-Buchholz on a relaxed city tour. Stroll through the historic streets and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the old mining town. In the evening, our special train will take you back home via Dresden comfortably and without transfers—bringing many beautiful impressions along with you.
