RangerTour: Heather Bloom in Massow

Experience the Massower Heath on an exciting ranger tour led by a ranger from the Nature Conservation Authority of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park, through a unique landscape mosaic of sandy areas, dry grasslands, and dwarf shrub heaths. Discover how conservation measures such as sheep grazing help preserve the habitat for endangered species. The district forester will also provide insight into modern forestry practices aimed at promoting tree diversity in the surrounding forest areas. Route: From the meeting point, participants will travel in their private vehicles along mostly paved roads to the Massower Heath. The subsequent hike in the heath is approximately 5 km long. Registration deadline: August 20. Note: Please remember to bring sun protection and drinks. Heat-sensitive individuals should refrain from participating depending on the weather conditions.
