Ranger Tour for World Ranger Day: On the Trail of Butterflies

World Ranger Day: Guided by a ranger from the Nature Conservation Authority, we will embark on a hike of approximately 6 km to the extensively used wetlands between Mühlenfließ and Sägebach and through the adjacent forests. Along the way, we will look out for butterflies and other insects and learn more about the work of rangers in Brandenburg and around the world. Background: Since 2007, World Ranger Day has commemorated on July 31 those rangers who have been injured or killed in the line of duty. It is also a day of solidarity and recognition for the global community of more than 300,000 rangers and their daily efforts to preserve and protect nature. On the occasion of World Ranger Day, the Nature Conservation Authority offers guided tours in many large protected areas across the country. The number of participants is limited, so pre-registration is required by July 29. Note: Please remember to bring sun protection, insect repellent, and drinks and snacks. Heat-sensitive individuals should refrain from participating depending on the weather conditions. This tour is part of the "Ranger and Experience Tours" program.
