Yumin Lee plays masterpieces of the classics.

Works by Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel. Perhaps some may remember: As part of our collaboration with Professor Wollenweber from the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, Yumin Lee performed at the Scharwenkahaus in November 2022. His playing was enthusiastically received by the audience, and our chronicler wrote: “... one had the feeling that he laid his soul, his innermost self at the piano and at the feet of the listeners.” Now Yumin Lee is returning to the Scharwenkahaus, having matured in his playing and experience over the past three years. In the meantime, he has performed at the Philharmonie Berlin, the Konzerthaus Berlin, and various other venues. This time, he will shape the evening on his own. The program he brings can be described as follows: It aims to “connect the musical legacy of two great masters: Maurice Ravel, whose 150th birthday will be celebrated in early 2025, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was born a year later and will celebrate his 270th birthday in 2026.
