The Music of Hildegard of Bingen (1098–1179) For Hildegard of Bingen, creation arose from sound, and humanity exists in a deep resonance with this divine sound. She was convinced that it is possible for every person to receive and participate in the encouraging, even healing power of music. Burkard Wehner (voice, Rotta, Surpeti) and Normisa Pereira da Silva (bass flute, voice, cup bells, Surpeti) have been exploring the music of Hildegard of Bingen for 10 years and perform this program.
