42 – the answer to the ultimate question – "Dylan for two" – the long-planned program by two Berlin musicians who joyfully engage with the ever-changing interpretative possibilities of Dylan's songs. Robert Zimmermann, aka Bob Dylan, has provided quite a few answers in his songs, though no one really knows the actual question. Nevertheless – or perhaps precisely because of this – Doreen and Maik Wolter find his songs so fascinating. Maik grew up with the songs from Dylan's early albums and has remained a fan to this day. "Dylan has never allowed himself to be pigeonholed over the years," he raves, and of course, these simple yet very intelligent songs can be wonderfully played with just a voice and a guitar. Doreen had no real choice after she fell in love with the West Berlin musician at the age of 17. In Maik's record collection at home, there were already 29 albums by this extraordinary artist. While she initially preferred to hear the songs sung by Maik, she has since come to appreciate the "master" quite a bit. The program offers an interesting cross-section of the seemingly unfathomable repertoire of the 36 studio albums released by Mister Dylan so far – beautifully crafted with guitar, bass, harmonica, and two wonderfully harmonizing voices. A cozy prelude to the evening is possible from 6:00 PM at the restaurant, and guests can enjoy a wind-down at the bar after the event. Unfortunately, dogs cannot be brought to this event.
