A musical and culinary evening where American sophistication meets a Berlin soul. Isabella Rapp will be accompanied by the fantastic Jörg Hochapfel on piano, performing classics and forgotten favorite songs of the two world stars, while sharing insights about the similarities and differences in their vastly different biographies. The worlds of Ella Fitzgerald, the "First Lady of Song," and Hildegard Knef, the "best singer in the world without a voice."
Isabella Rapp grew up bilingual in the tri-border area of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria; she studied singing, acting, and dance in Hamburg. She has also worked as a choreographer, most recently for Orient Express, Kiss Me, Kate, Rocky Horror Show, and Urlaubsreif. Her concert appearances include venues such as the Elbphilharmonie, Waldbühne Bremen, Köln Arena, and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg.
