Where to put orange peels and coffee grounds? In the organic waste, of course. Absolutely not, says Prof. Dr. Andreas Taubert from the University of Potsdam. Together with his team, he is creating true supermaterials from these two everyday kitchen scraps. They can purify wastewater of harmful substances, thus helping us in the production of drinking water. How exactly this works will be explained by Andreas Taubert on the NANO stage. Exciting mini-experiments will accompany his lecture and demonstrate, among other things, how dirty water can be cleaned almost like magic.
