Holiday Program for Children

For three days, we explore nature in winter. Who sleeps, freezes, or travels? Playfully, we discover how animals and plants cope with winter. The program is aimed at elementary school children. Register your child for individual days or all three days.

Monday, February 2: Animals in Winter
We explore how animals survive the winter: some stay awake and active, while others sleep through the entire winter! We take a look at their preparations and experiment ourselves.

Tuesday, February 3: Plants in Winter
Even now, we can see the first buds on some trees! We examine them more closely. We search for edible plants during the winter that animals also feed on in the depths of winter and discover how plants protect themselves from frost.

Wednesday, February 4: Birds in Winter
Which birds do we discover right on site at Blumberger Mühle? We go on an exploration and build a bird feeder from upcycling materials.
