From Alaska to Tierra del Fuego – 41,000 km by bicycle through America Thomas Meixner set off on a journey from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, at the very southern tip of Latin America, with his new expedition bike. Along the way, he had to face many adventures: the muddy, wet Amazon, a nighttime robbery in Bolivia, and the battle against the steppe winds in Patagonia. Highlights of his tour included the wilderness in Canada, a visit to Cuba, a solo ascent of the 6,439-meter-high Illimani in Bolivia, and the stunning landscapes of the southern Andes. But it was also the countless encounters with local people, who offered hospitality and good advice to the cyclist from Germany, that remained etched in the world traveler’s memory. The spectacular journey concluded in Santiago de Chile. In an exciting multimedia presentation, Thomas Meixner shares his experiences and adventures in the "New World."
