In the colloquium organized by Ricarda Schmidt (Prof. emeritus, University of Exeter), the history of nationalist tendencies is examined using the example of Kleist. The focus is on various concepts of statehood and nationality in Europe, with regard to Kleist's patriotism. Languages of the event: English and German; further information will follow. The event is supported by German Life and Letters. Admission is free! Registration at forschung@kleist-museum.de.
