Few ships have such a tumultuous history as the Astoria. Under the name Völkerfreundschaft, it once took selected citizens of the GDR to seemingly unreachable places of longing, such as the coast of the Black Sea. Sailor Henri and stewardess Simone also traveled under the flag of the small country, which was once one of the most important maritime nations in the world and no longer exists today. The fascination for this ship, which determined their fate, has never left Henri and Simone. Now they are traveling once again on the Astoria, giving them the chance to reconcile with the shadows of their past.
