Concert and light installation: h e u anne müller

With h e u, musician and artist Anne Müller focuses on the immediacy of music and art. Transparent and personal. On Valentine's Day, Anne Müller will perform a sensory concert at the "Alte Neuendorfer Kirche" with her German-language, poetic songs featuring pop-jazz-soul elements and live-generated soundscapes. She weaves together vocal colors, flute, keyboard, and small instruments, producing sounds and noises, preferably with everyday objects, and connects them with her musical narratives. Anne Müller will transform the "Alte Neuendorfer Kirche" not only musically but also with expansive video projections. The warm, free, soulful-jazzy, and often improvisational voice of h e u extends a hand to embark on a journey together. The impulse for immediacy is also reflected in the tension between experiencing and observing social conditions and voids. Growing up in East Berlin, Anne Müller developed a deep sense of fragility and unexpected changes. In 2025, h e u Anne Müller will perform at the iconic Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona and the Panometer Dresden. In 2026, she will be a guest of the Goethe Institute in Sydney and Madrid. Her music projects have taken Anne Müller on concert tours to Brazil, Latvia, and New Zealand. With her art performances and installations, she has been represented at the European Capital of Culture events in Valletta (Malta) and Wroclaw (Poland). She is also a guest lecturer at international art academies, including in Hong Kong, Wroclaw, Granada, Beirut, and Brunei Darussalam. Born in 1978, Anne Müller studied musicology and music ethnology at the Free University of Berlin and audio-visual media science at the Konrad Wolf Film School in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
