He is known as FLAKE – the keyboardist of the band Rammstein. In him, a passionate musician and a creative mind are united: While he performs on the biggest stages in the world with Rammstein, pounding the keys of his keyboard amidst flames in a giant cauldron to the powerful music of Rammstein, he also picks up pen and paper offstage to write about his life and music. Born in East Berlin in 1966, he gained his first stage experiences at just 16 years old with the band Feeling B. After getting by with odd jobs and modest fees in the following years, Rammstein opened up the world to him starting in 1994 with tours across Germany and eventually internationally. With his books "Der Tastenficker," published in 2015, and "Heute hat die Welt Geburtstag," published in 2017, Flake has also made a name for himself as an author. His readings, where he presents his books and takes the audience into the wild world of the big stages, are an absolute must for fans! Following the reading, there will be a discussion with the audience, a signing session, and a wrap-up in the cultural canteen.
