Under the motto "As Time Goes By," the Galeriechor, together with SaalKultur e.V., invites you to a jubilee concert on January 25 at 3:00 PM in the Festsaal Hobrechtsfelde. With this concert, the choir, which was founded in 2005 in Wilfried Staufenbiel's gallery in the chicken coop in Schönow, is celebrating its milestone birthday. "20 years of Galeriechor means countless rehearsals, concerts, choir trips, memories, friendships, and shared musical experiences and discoveries," says Kerstin Bärmann, a founding member of the choir. "With our jubilee concert, we want to not only look back at the past but also show what we are currently working on with great joy and energy. Especially with newer, partly original choir arrangements, we will make the hall in Hobrechtsfelde resonate, including a translation of Charles Trenet's 'La Mer' and 'Heide Ho,' a cheeky musical homage to the Schönower Heide, where the choir rehearsed during the pandemic," explains Nina Rohlfs, the director of the Galeriechor. After Wilfried Staufenbiel shaped the choir for many years, the Hobrechtsfelder took over the ensemble in the fall of 2022. "The choir members are looking forward to reuniting with former members and companions, but of course also to seeing new faces in the audience and possibly singers who want to join us in 2026." Just in time for the birthday, the newly designed website [www.galeriechor.de](http://www.galeriechor.de) has also launched, featuring current concert dates, contact information, a list of favorite songs, and images from 20 years of Galeriechor.
