MadMix from the Open Art Association presents: "Wood with Pulse"

A free fantasy based on "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi (12+) A piece of wood comes to life. Its world is not grown, but made – constructed, designed. The theater group MadMix presents Pinocchio in a space that has not arisen naturally, but has been consciously created: a reality in which rules are established, paths are predetermined, and deviations are still possible. What would it be like to be carved from entirely different wood? How does one become a "real" person – and is that really so desirable? Amidst the Fox, the Cat, circus director Firebreath, the Blue Fairy, the Whale, and many others, the young piece of wood encounters a world full of well-meaning, dangerous, and highly peculiar influences. Can it – or can it not? What remains of a being when the structures that support it crumble? And what remains when everything turns to ash? The play was developed and staged by the Potsdam theater group of the Open Art Association [MadMix](https://okev.de/theater#167). Since 2005, this theater group has been meeting weekly in the theater hall of KuZe Potsdam, rehearsing under the direction of Nikki Bernstein and Daria Malygina with the support of Marie Schöneburg. The MadMix theater group is an intergenerational theater group for anyone who enjoys acting, trying out different acting techniques and theater theories, and engaging with various phenomena of life.
