It's about four friends in an English industrial town. No job, no money, no prospects for any success. When a male strip show comes to town and whips the women into a frenzy of applause, the friends smell their chance for success and quick cash. Why not strip too? It can't be that hard, can it? However, they quickly realize that they don't have much to offer in terms of looks. What starts out more or less as fun soon becomes hard work. After some initially clumsy attempts, they take lessons from a female revue star and perfect their show. It's a piece about "human" weaknesses, about financial struggles, friendship, despair, and courage. With "Ladies Night," the Schlossfestspiele Ribbeck presents one of the most successful comedies of the last decade. Under the title "The Full Monty," the play also became a cinema hit.
