Cultural Steam - The Festival at Luckau Station invites you to a celebration full of movement, sounds, and discoveries. The steam from the locomotives rises into the air as trains roll over the tracks, inviting visitors to shuttle rides between Luckau and Lübben via Duben and Neuendorf. On the 7 1/4-inch real steam railways, children and adults can ride along and experience the fascination of railways up close. For those who want even more excitement, there’s the chance to take a ride on a draisine, sit in the driver's cab next to the engineer, or see how the locomotives are maintained and serviced during a workshop tour. A large model railway exhibition showcases attention to detail and leaves both young and old visitors in awe. Away from the tracks, a colorful stage program with live music creates a lively atmosphere. Children can bounce on inflatable castles, participate in activities, or discover little surprises. For hunger, the food mile offers a variety of delicacies from savory to sweet. Especially exciting: You can meet the railway workers, ask questions, and get a behind-the-scenes look. Those curious about the railway profession can learn about training opportunities and experience the technology of the locomotives up close.
