Spring Awakening in Wanninchen: Nature Holiday Program for Young Explorers With the end of winter dormancy, the Heinz Sielmann Nature Experience Center in Wanninchen transforms into a vibrant backdrop for first nature observations. As the first insects buzz and the spring flora begins to bloom, the landscape offers diverse opportunities to experience the dynamics of spring up close. The holiday program in April allows for an exploration of the local flora and fauna with all senses engaged. The focus is on identifying plants and animals as well as creative work with natural materials. A community rally leads the search for the Easter treasure, while cooking together highlights the use of edible treasures from nature.
