Concert "String Magic '26"

The Department of String Instruments at the Music and Arts School "Johann Abraham Peter Schulz" invites you to the kickoff of "Saitenzauber 2026" on January 28 and 29, 2026. Under the motto "Time Travel," our ensembles and groups will present a program that skillfully and multifacetedly connects musical moods, eras, and styles at the beginning of the year. Saitenzauber features various formations such as "Music Is Life," "Better Together," "Las Cuerdas," as well as "Los Guitaristas," the newly formed student group "Let’s Ride," and a young emerging band that is yet to be named. Under the direction of Magdalena Saritas, Mike Hesche, and Lina Mikolai, the participants will work on deeper playing skills, arrangements, and ensemble playing from January 22 to 24 at the rehearsal camp at Werbellinsee. Since the beginning of the school year, regular rehearsals have formed the basis for focused preparation for the shared concert experience just before the winter holidays. Musically, Saitenzauber 2026 once again spans a wide range. In addition to classical and electric guitars, the ukulele, mandolin, and bass will also be featured.
