Children's play "Thalia a Book Fairy Tale"

The youth ensemble of the Theater Stolperdraht is once again inviting audiences to the play "Thalia – a Book Fairy Tale" at the beginning of 2026. Directed by Uwe Schmiedel, this lovingly told stage adaptation was created in cooperation with the city library of Schwedt and aims to inspire children to read. The story is loosely based on Tina Echtmann's fairy tale "The Legacy of Reading." What is it about? Jana discovers a mysterious book in her room and is drawn deeper into a fantastic world as she reads. There, the princesses Thalia and Aurelia live happily in their kingdom until a dispute over the throne changes everything. Thalia flees from the castle and finds herself in a wondrous world full of adventures, extraordinary beings, and tricky tasks. With the help of her love for reading, she acquires the knowledge she needs to overcome the challenges and find her way back home. It is a imaginative theater experience that shows how stories can inspire courage and how reading opens doors to new worlds. The play is aimed at children aged 5 and up.
