Special Exhibition: "A Throne from Cameroon - The Adventures of Dr. Ipscher"

Special exhibition of the Wegemuseum until March 31, 2026 The Wegemuseum preserves the estate of the military doctor Dr. Georg Ipscher, who was born in Wusterhausen and worked as a colonial doctor for the imperial protection force in Cameroon from 1900 to 1902. He practiced again in his hometown from 1922 until his death in 1935. Approximately 50 photos from Cameroon, a carved throne made for him, and documents will be presented in the special exhibition of the Wegemuseum. The exhibition is a project within the framework of "Connecting Worlds – Cultural Land Brandenburg 2024/2025" and is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture as well as the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning of the State of Brandenburg, and supported by the Brandenburg savings banks and the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg.
