"Nobody intends to build a wall!" And yet it came and divided Germany. The barriers shaped the cityscape of Potsdam during the Cold War. The border ran right through what is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour is a fascinating journey back in time to the era of division. Participants hear moving stories from border crossers and agents. The route leads from the Glienicke Bridge, the "Bridge of Spies," along the former East-West German border through the New Garden to the former border control point at Bertini-Enge.
