Courtly dance enjoyment in Paretz for the birthday of Queen Louise

On this day, we want to transport ourselves, both in dance and fashion, back to the time of Queen Louise, who was a passionate dancer. Starting at 2 PM, social group and country dances such as quadrilles, anglaises, and ecossaises from around 1800 will be danced in the modern hall building of the palace during a dance workshop. Everyone is invited to wear appropriate clothing from the late 18th or early 19th century throughout the day. Those who do not own a costume may find something suitable at the historical costume rental of the Paretz Foundation. While dance experience is useful for the workshop, it can also serve as an introduction to historical dance. A partner is not required for registration! Birte Hoffmann-Cabenda is a certified dance instructor and has been engaged with historical dances for many years.
