15 years of the Aggstein Castle Advent ... Celebrate with us!
End of the season and highlight 2025

The scent of roasted almonds wafts around the old walls. Fruity punch and fragrant mulled wine warm your hands and soul! In the inner courtyards and in front of the castle, torches light up the hustle and bustle of the market accompanied by enchanting live music from the "Gasslspieler". Over 60 exhibitors await you and make it easy to find the right gifts - the BURGADVENT is an experience in itself. Of course, we also think of your physical well-being - whether sweet, savoury, vegetarian or with meat and fish - you will enjoy it!


For shining children's eyes ...
The fairy tale hour with Dena Seidl on the castle terrace will enchant ears big and small. And of course the "Wolves of Dunkelstein" in their armour and medieval robes watch over the action!
Alpacas are of course also a must....those eyelashes...
Blacksmith and fortune teller

Fireworks ...
At 6 pm every evening it gets colourful - the popular fireworks display shines over the castle and bathes the castle in wonderful colours! To all dog owners: the fireworks are of course loud - please consider beforehand whether you can and want to put up with your pet.

Shuttle bus to the castle ...
Our shuttle buses will take you comfortably from Aggstein up to the castle and back down again: € 3.00 per person for both journeys. You can also buy tickets for the market and the shuttle bus in our ticket shop!

IMPORTANT! You can also pay by card at some exhibitors - but not at most of them. So please take enough cash with you. The nearest ATMs are in Melk and Mautern.
