The Lübbenau Fanfare Band will arrive loudly and cheerfully at the Great Harbor to set the mood and bring everyone into the right spring spirit. The ceremonial handing over of the oars and paddles by the Lübbenau ferry operators, accompanied by women in Lower Sorbian festive costumes, marks the symbolic start of the warm season. The Cucumber Mile will reopen with a wide selection of the most famous Spreewald vegetable, and the first spring boat trips will take guests on small tours to Lehde. Paddlers will explore the Spreewald on their own, while hikers and cyclists will venture into the nature awakened by spring. The starting signal for the symbolic handing over of the oars and paddles is also a springtime prelude to the upcoming Easter celebration.
