THE BLUES BROTHERS – the movie from the 80s – is becoming a stage musical! From May 15 to 17, 2026, Burg Seevetal will be the venue for this humorous, energetic, and cult-hit-filled road movie. Here’s the story: Jake and Elwood Blues – two charming petty criminals in 1980s Chicago – learn that the orphanage of their childhood is on the brink of financial collapse. They need $5,000. Before they know it, the two find themselves on a divine mission: they want to save the home and raise the money. But there’s a catch: the Mother Superior insists that the money must be earned honestly. With little experience in legal fundraising, Jake and Elwood can only think of one solution: they must reunite their old band and organize a benefit concert. However, the musicians have long since scattered to the winds – a turbulent road trip in the legendary Bluesmobile begins. With sunglasses, hats, and black suits, the brothers take us on a journey full of quirky encounters, absurd chases, and captivating musical moments. Classics like “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love,” “Soul Man,” and “Gimme Some Lovin’” will get everyone in the mood – good vibes guaranteed!
