Goodbye Lemförde - Welcome America The exhibition under the motto "Old Homeland - New Homeland" showcases the various motives for emigration, their preparation, the bureaucratic process, farewells, the journey, arrival, and the new beginning in the new homeland through numerous documents and illustrations. Archive Tour Visitors have the opportunity to view the otherwise inaccessible archive storage rooms and get to know the diverse areas of responsibility of the archive up close. Archive tours through the storage rooms will be offered at 2 PM and 3:30 PM for interested visitors. Archive Café The "Archive Café" invites you to linger. Over a cup of coffee, you can engage in conversation with the staff of the Lemförde municipal archive and ask questions.
