"Don't be silly... they said. That was in 1992, and Thomas Hermanns not only laid the foundation for stand-up comedy in Germany, but he also opened his first Quatsch Comedy Club in Hamburg. The potential for something great became evident 10 years later when the second club opened in Berlin. The 'Kleine Revue im Friedrichstadtpalast' became a Quatsch Comedy Club and quickly established itself as the mother house of German stand-up comedy. As the 'mother of German stand-up comedy,' Thomas Hermanns has paved the way for many great comedians.
