Ice skating in Glauchau

Ice Rink of the Glauchau Municipal Utilities - New Ice Skating Season This year, you can once again skate on the Glauchau Castle Square! The ice rink will be set up in time for Christmas by the Glauchau Municipal Utilities, supported by the city of Glauchau. This season, the fun lasts for almost three months and offers a highlight for all visitors from Glauchau and the surrounding area. Since 2012, the Glauchau Municipal Utilities have provided the ice rink for the citizens and guests of the city during the Christmas season and winter months, and since 2018 it has been located on the newly designed area of the Glauchau Castle Square.

In front of the unique backdrop of Glauchau Castle, all visitors are invited to enjoy cheerful ice skating!

The ice rink of the municipal utilities is a popular meeting place for the whole family. Skating in front of the beautiful silhouette of the castle is a delight. In suitable weather, the ice rink is open at the following times:
Monday to Thursday 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Friday 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Sunday / Holidays 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Come by and try out the offer for family sports, with friends, or for corporate celebrations. Organizer: Glauchau Municipal Utilities with support from the Glauchau City Administration. Castle Forderglauchau is the extension built towards the city of Glauchau of Castle Hinterglauchau. The castle was constructed from 1524 to 1534 in the style of the Early Renaissance. It is considered the oldest Renaissance castle built in the central German region. Castle Forderglauchau, together with Castle Hinterglauchau, forms a unique double castle complex in Saxony.
