As Harras in Zuckmayer's "The Devil's General," he captivated audiences last year in the theater, and as a singer-songwriter, he has recently thrilled many concert halls; as Carl Ribarski in "Soko Wien," he is loved by millions. Now we can experience the Nestroy Award winner in a grand poetry evening. In his first published poetry collection "Loveletters – Willful Love Outpourings," Stefan Jürgens reveals himself as a hopeful romantic who unabashedly confronts the trench warfare of the sexes with the wonder of love. Here, love is celebrated and elevated to the highest formula for happiness. A breath of fresh air in dark times and a nightlight for optimism. In his reading performance "Call it Love," he now allows all manifestations of love to pass before us. We feel its healing power as well as its destructive fury. We indulge in its unrestrained nature and witness its willingness to sacrifice. Great poets of world literature show us the many faces of love, which could not be more different. And yet they all share one thing in common: love is non-negotiable. And cannot be confined by rules. It survives under the harshest conditions and cannot be subjected to coercion. It defines us. It is all that matters.

Stefan Jürgens (born February 26, 1963, in Unna) completed a three-and-a-half-year training as an actor at the Westphalian School of Acting in Bochum from 1983 to 1986. He then had engagements at the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Theater Dortmund, the Theater des Westens in Berlin, the Bremen Theater at Goetheplatz, and the Schauspiel Köln, until he gained nationwide fame in 1993 with the legendary comedy show RTL Samstag Nacht. The television show aired from 1993 to 1998 and is still regarded as the most successful German comedy show to date. He then portrayed the Berlin "Tatort" commissioner Robert Hellmann in six episodes and participated in numerous national and international TV and film productions, before taking on the lead role of Carl Ribarski in the German-Austrian production Soko Wien/Donau from 2007 to 2021. In addition to acting, Stefan Jürgens is also pursuing a career as a singer-songwriter and musician. Since 2002, he has released six studio albums. With his current album "so viele farben" (2022), he is currently on tour in Germany and Austria. For his achievements, the actor and musician has received prestigious awards, including the Bavarian Television Award, the Bambi, the Golden Lion, and the Austrian Romy. For his portrayal of General Harras in Carl Zuckmayer's "The Devil's General," he received the Austrian Nestroy Theater Award in 2022.
