Anniversary week of the German Agricultural Museum

Opening: Pentecost Sunday, May 24 - 2:00 PM: Presentation of the anniversary picture book. Pentecost Monday, May 25 - German Mill Day: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with guided tours in the post windmill and educational activities related to grain, milling, and sharpening millstones. Special guided tours in the LPG flour mill will take place at 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM. A delicious culinary selection will be provided. 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Concert by the Schnaudertaler Musikanten. Wednesday, May 27 - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM: A children's and family day at the museum farm with activities related to rural life and work of that time. Thursday, May 28 - 2:00 PM: Opening of the special exhibition "Learned Agriculture" featuring agricultural models from Martin Luther University Halle, followed by a guided tour. Saturday, May 30 - 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM: Demonstration of scything and threshing with Mario from Knoll Blankenhain. Sunday, May 31 - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tractor meeting: Traditional gathering and demonstrations of historical tractors and agricultural machinery. Craft demonstrations in the blacksmith shop, sawmill, and wheelwright shop. Refreshments and treats will be offered.
