Michael Otto - On the Periphery

Michael Otto's etchings and paintings are rooted in the tradition of critical realism. His exhibition "On the Periphery" provides a comprehensive overview of his decades-long oeuvre. At the center of his work are unusual and often overlooked urban landscapes and rural topographies—spatial and architectural scenarios where human life is concentrated. The painter and graphic artist Michael Otto was born in 1938 in Luckenwalde and studied at the Master School for Graphic Arts and Book Trade and at the Academy of Fine Arts. He currently lives and works in Berlin-Friedrichshagen. Michael Otto's works can be found in numerous collections.
