The film "Wilma Wants More" tells the story of 50-year-old Wilma, who lives in the East German countryside and suddenly finds herself at a turning point in her life. After losing her job and the end of her marriage, her previously seemingly secure life begins to crumble. Instead of resigning herself to her fate, Wilma decides to start anew. She leaves her familiar surroundings and takes the leap into an unknown life, where she rediscovers herself, her desires, and her strength. Along the way, she encounters different people, experiences setbacks, but also unexpected opportunities and moments of freedom. "Wilma Wants More" is a heartfelt, relatable film about new beginnings, self-determination, and the courage to question everything once again in midlife – and to want more from life.
