For all lovers and tinkerers of model railways, the doors are open in the Kurhaus in the Grand Hall and in the foyer on the ground floor. The Miniature Wonderland fascinates with a Märklin H0 layout. This layout features a double-track main railway line, and at the large city station, two single-track branch lines diverge. A large train station always used to include a locomotive depot with a turntable and engine shed, along with everything the steam engines of old needed to be well-maintained and stocked with enough coal, water, and sand for long journeys. In the city, trams and Faller Car System vehicles are also on the move. On their journey through a unique fantasy world, the trains travel through various landscapes, from a snowy winter sports region to the desert in just a few moments, then over high bridges into the mountains, and shortly thereafter past vineyards and allotment gardens. The H0 DC digital layout consists of a rural station of the German Federal Railways from the 1960s. From there, the journey continues along a single-track, predominantly rural line to a port where coal is loaded from inland ships onto the railway. The 2m gauge layout in a scale of 1:22.5 is the layout with the largest gauge. This scale is also known as garden railway, as the tracks and trains can be operated outdoors. The approximately 13-meter-long layout with a small stop depicts a slice of rural life in Pomerania along a narrow-gauge railway during the time between the two world wars. On the H0 DC layout, the trains are only a secondary attraction, as remote-controlled vehicles are in operation here, demanding the full attention of the operators. In the large quarry, a fully functional excavator with six mini motors is in use. The excavated material is transported further across the layout by trucks and conveyor belts. All vehicles, 87 times smaller than the original, are built or modified by the members themselves. The agricultural layout in a scale of 1:32 is equipped with a farmhouse, barn, and stable for cows and pigs, as well as a large collection of vehicles, various tractors, and combine harvesters. For both small and large model railway fans, various attractions await, such as a play and crafting corner and a dealer's market for collectors.
