Peace posters in the multi-generational house Panketal

The motifs come from the Brandenburg-wide poster competition for peace and disarmament and will be presented until March 27 on two floors of the multi-generational house. In the competition, 24 artists from our federal state submitted a total of 56 works. The winning designs by Henry Schwedler ("Fathers, Sons, Heroes"), Meinhard Bärmich ("Children: We Want Peace!") and Elke Mann ("Stop Rockets!") are also on display. The competition was initiated by the four Brandenburg peace alliances from Potsdam, Brandenburg (Havel), Königs Wusterhausen, and Bernau-Panketal. Citizens from various parties, religions, and non-affiliated individuals are engaged in the peace alliances. The jury for the poster competition consisted of two representatives from each of the four peace alliances. The competition took place last year. The exhibition was recently shown at the town hall of Königs Wusterhausen. It is intended to travel further and be presented to as large an audience as possible. At the opening on January 30, there will be introductory remarks as well as a small musical program performed by choir director, conductor, and gallery owner Wilfried Staufenbiel and his pianist Christine Kessler. Sausages, rolls, lard sandwiches, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will provide the setting for exchanging thoughts in interesting conversations.
