Sunday Tours in the Schorfheide - Groß Schönebeck "Pinnow Lakes and Silk Beech"

Deep in the wild Schorheide lie the romantic Pinnow lakes - a retreat for cranes and other animals. We visit the legendary fallen Silkebuche and see how this tree giant passes its life force on to new generations. Along the way, we learn fascinating details about the hunting of the Greats in Schorfheide from the Askanier family to Honecker. Old songs, legends, and stories of the homeland come to life on our journey - and there is time for silence, wonder, and joy. The tour is led by Thomas Röhlinger, a certified nature and landscape guide. Don’t forget to bring provisions and sturdy footwear. In case of continuous rain or severe weather warnings, a short-term cancellation of the tour is possible. The hike is at your own risk. Meeting point: 10 AM at the forest parking lot, Alte Joachimsthaler Straße 16A in Groß Schönebeck (near the Wildfang hunting lodge). Duration: approximately 4 hours (about 8 km), max. 15 people. Registration through the Tourist Information by Saturday at 12 PM before the hike.
