Calligraphy Workshop

Calligraphy Afternoon "Forgotten Words" - We remember 'old words' and write in our handwriting with the Berlin calligrapher Almut Witt. She has been teaching calligraphy in Berlin-Weissensee and outside of Berlin for many years. We make ourselves comfortable and recall "forgotten words," such as: Bewandnis, Firlefanz, Fisematenten, Kokolores, Sommerfrische, stillvergnügt, etc. At the beginning, we will engage in exciting writing experiments using our handwriting. Immersing ourselves in calligraphic writing brings moments of arriving fully within ourselves, and participants are often very surprised by this. A new versatile writing tool will be introduced, which can be tried out. There will be additional information on various materials. In the end, each participant will take home a self-designed postcard and will be empowered to create postcards calligraphically in the future.
