"City of Sewing Machines": This nickname was proudly carried by Wittenberge for a whole lifetime. The era began with the laying of the foundation stone of the Singer factory in 1903. This was followed by a golden age for the industrial town located between Berlin and Hamburg. Join a guided tour to explore historical sewing machines and industrial architecture amidst the relaxing Elbe valley. During the exploration tour, you will learn interesting facts about the Packhof district and the Herz oil mill, founded in 1823. Meeting point: 11 AM at the tourist information center. No prior registration required!
