Vernissage Metamorphosis Painting in the Old School Barn

Vernissage (Free Admission) Exhibition duration until August 6th Visual arts, music, painting, dance, and theater make life passionate. I am continually drawn to the depiction of people, which I incorporate not prominently, but mostly as elements in my paintings. (Silvia Schott) As a former dancer at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, ballet mistress, and choreographer in her own ballet studio, Silvia Schott particularly enjoys representing dance and music through painting. The creation of a painting is a nuanced and ever-changing process. Sometimes, it consists of individual images—whether photographs, newspapers, prints, or nature—that carry an overall or partial inspiration. Thus, individual images can be combined from one, two, or even several stimuli. Depending on the inspiration, Schott begins with applying the paint using a palette knife or in broad strokes to create a foundational mood. The further development of the paintings is usually a lengthy process that involves painting, overpainting, discarding, and starting anew until satisfaction is achieved. For some time now, the abstraction of paintings has come into focus for her, although she cannot do without harmonious color compositions of acrylic and oil paints.
